Alegria Soaps was created in 2002 with a mission to create natural skin care products that are gentle enough for all skin types, even for those with the most sensitive skin, and offer it at an affordable price. We do not like to use harsh chemicals on our skin, so why should you!
Alegria, (pronounced `ah l ai G R EE ah’), means happiness in Spanish, and that is exactly how our products make us feel and our customers too! Our products are made by hand in small batches with pure, raw and natural materials. When possible, we purchase our ingredients from farmer’s here in Costa Rica; such as our goat’s milk, honey, beeswax, cocoa butter and coffee.
Hand-made in Guanacaste, Tamarindo, Costa Rica! Our soaps are Cold processed soaps, made with a gentle base of sunflower, palm and palm kernel (mini coconuts) oils. Together these oils make a hard bar of soap that produces a fluffy lather that is rich in vitamins and is extremely moisturizing. You can enjoy the rich lather and silky feeling of our handmade soaps today !
Handmade, hand-cut, hand-packaged, and all made with lots of love! Alegria products offer a healthy, effective and luxurious skin care experience we like to call… “A Gift from Nature”
We use natural ingredients including true essential oils, which are known to have therapeutic properties. Herbs, spices, and flowers are added as colorants and exfoliants and also add extra texture and nutrients. We strive to purchase our raw materials from sustainable farmer’s here in Costa Rica; such as our goat’s milk, honey, beeswax, cocoa butter and coffee.
To prolong the life of your soap make sure to always leave your soap out of the way of the spray of the shower and leave it to dry on a soap dish where the water runs through, you want to make sure it dries out between uses. If you leave the soap in water it will become soft and not last long. Store your unused soap in a cool dark place like the linen closet; this will add a nice scent to your sheets and towels too!
